Solution Description
Within an energy company, the decision to drill a well involves many different departments and people. Geology, Land,
Engineering, Economics, Facilities, Pipeline and of course, Management must all contribute their expertise and costing information
prior to a decision being made to move forward.
Through the use of Document Management, Imaging and Workflow technologies, organizations can assemble all the interrelated
information in a single place. Access to related costing and analysis information can be easily enabled and connected to the Well -
Project Control Solution. As the information is gathered, the project's status is updated and routed to necessary departments for
their analysis and input. Once the information is complete, and the project appears viable, it is electronically routed for Executive
level assessment. Upon acceptance, project data can be loaded into supporting systems (such as an Accounting system and/or
AFE solution). Scope changes are managed through predetermined business logic so that revisions remain compliant with
corporate policies. Documents such as maps, drawings and the well file can be cross-referenced to the well for operation efficiency,
compliance and general document management.
This solution can be combined with Imagine's AFE or Accrual systems to provide a comprehensive project, cost control and
reporting solution.
